essie + nap are an award winning American duo based in Philadelphia. The duo is comprised of vocalist Essie Riddle and guitar/bassist/vocalist, Andrew Napoli. The two are members of the Philly band Looseleaf and began writing together during the peak of the pandemic in 2020.

The duo's latest single "Long Distance Lover" has been well received with over a half a million video views. Recently "Long Distance Lover" was also the winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The duo collaborated with Philly multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer, Andrew Lipke on the track.

 

The song casts a light on that all too familiar feeling when you're staring at your phone waiting for a reply. Essie's soulful vocals with Nap's driving bass line come to a culmination of the senses with Andrew Lipke's shredding guitar solo.
